Artist Painted OMs

 

Now and again we have had the pleasure of different artists paint an OM with their own unique style.  We are always very honored when this happens and truly enjoy displaying them for all to see.  
Below are some unique designs done by some wonderfully talented artists from RI and NY.
 
Artist OMs are larger in size standing 5 to 6" and 4" diameter.

Rhode Island Artist Liz McGrath

Liz grew up in very rural Montville, Connecticut, the fourth of six children (all 12-18 months apart!). Drawing and coloring became great ways to escape the chaos and find privacy. Liz graduated from Boston's Chamberlayne with an Associate of Arts degree. Liz, her husband Tim, and their two daughters, Caleigh and Maeve, live in New England where they continue to create various artworks.

 Liz McGrath does not use computer assistance for her illustration techniques. She draws by freehand only, using markers for a base. She then applies colored pencil over this base for her remarkable detail and texture.

 

Rhode Island Artist Uli Brahmst

German born artist Uli Brahmst has been living and working in Canada, the Czech Republic and since 1996 in the United States.

Brahmst’s spirited portfolio encompasses painting, sculpture, fiberart as well as site-specific installation. She moves freely between abstraction and the figure. Her imaginative work has been shown extensively in the United States and around the world. Her exhibition venues include Galleria Galou, New York; Perogi, New York; Lehman College Art Gallery, New York; Rotunda Gallery, New York; Cave Gallery, New York; Cork Gallery Lincoln Center, New York; Exit Art, New York; Art Expo, New York; German Consulate, New York; Pool Art Fair, New York; New Jersey Center For Visual Art; Islip Museum, Islip, CT; Woodson Art Museum, Wausau, WI; Tacoma Contemporary, Tacoma, WA; Museo De Bellas Artes, Caracas; CORP GROUP Cultural Center, Caracas; Nam June Paik Museum at Tae Gu Teback Gallery, Korea; 10th International Quilt Festival, Yokohama, Japan; ARWI Contemporary Art Fair, Puerto Rico; Galerie Radost, Prague; and Gallerie R31, Berlin.
